As a Licensed Practical Nurse in Long-Term Care, you’ll provide direct bedside nursing under the supervision of Registered Nurses, monitor residents’ conditions, administer prescribed medications and treatments, perform routine assessments, and document changes accurately to support timely care decisions. You’ll assist with activities of daily living, implement wound care protocols, manage basic IVs where permitted, and support rehabilitation exercises designed to maximize independence. Your collaboration with physicians, RNs, social workers, therapists, and dietary staff will help you develop comprehensive care plans, coordinate transitions, and uphold safety and quality standards.
