Step into a pivotal MRI Tech role within Radiology that blends technical mastery with compassionate patient care. As a focused MRI Technologist, you will guide advanced imaging studies, tailor protocols to each patient, and collaborate with physicians to unlock clear, actionable insights that drive diagnoses and treatment plans. Based in Rochester, New York, you’ll contribute to a culture that values precision, safety, and patient comfort, while practicing in a thriving medical community renowned for its academic rigor, neighborhood charm, and access to cultural amenities. This opportunity starts February 2, 2026, and runs for several weeks with the possibility of extension, offering a bridge to sustained growth as you apply your expertise across a dynamic healthcare environment. Beyond the patient room, you’ll discover that this assignment also invites you to explore the beauty of upstate New York—from tree-lined streets and waterfront vistas to vibrant arts scenes—reminding us that excellent work and rich living can go hand in hand.
Location benefits: Rochester blends a robust clinical network with a high quality of life, featuring affordable housing, excellent public transit, and a community that embraces innovation. The region’s medical campuses provide exposure to diverse cases, cutting edge MRI technologies, and collaborative teams that celebrate curiosity and problem solving. You may also have the flexibility to travel to additional sites across the United States, experiencing a spectrum of imaging workflows—from academic centers to community hospitals—each offering unique procedures, patient populations, and research opportunities. This breadth of experience not only strengthens your technical repertoire but also deepens your ability to communicate with patients from varied backgrounds, easing anxiety and enhancing the imaging encounter. The broad geographic reach means you can curate a career chapter that balances professional challenge with personal exploration, whether you’re savoring a waterfront walk along Lake Ontario, enjoying seasonal festivals, or pursuing continued education opportunities close to home or on the road.
Role specifics and benefits: In this MRI Tech role, you will operate state-of-the-art MRI scanners, optimize sequences, ensure patient safety with rigorous screening and contrast administration, and maintain strict image quality standards that enable accurate interpretations by radiologists. You’ll screen for contraindications, monitor sedation where applicable, and adapt protocols to optimize signal-to-noise ratios while minimizing scan times. You’ll collaborate with technologists, nurses, and physicians to coordinate care, troubleshoot equipment, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. The position supports professional growth through exposure to advanced neuroimaging, musculoskeletal, and vascular protocols, with opportunities to gain certification, expand cross-training, and assume leadership duties on assignment. Our compensation package reflects industry competitiveness, featuring a weekly pay range of $2,205 to $2,283, with the potential to earn a performance bonus where available. We offer housing assistance to ease relocation and travel costs, and extension opportunities that allow skilled MRI specialists to extend their assignments based on performance, availability, and site needs. You’ll benefit from comprehensive support, including 24/7 assistance while traveling with the company, access to dedicated travel coordinators, and a robust clinical escalation path to address any clinical or logistical needs that arise on site. This combination of remote guidance and on-site mentorship helps you stay focused on delivering high-quality imaging while you maintain work-life balance on the road.
Company values: Our organization is built on empowering its staff, promoting clear pathways for career advancement, and fostering a supportive, inclusive environment where every technician’s voice is heard. We invest in ongoing education, credentialing support, and peer collaboration, recognizing that MRI is a field that continually evolves with technology and best practices.
