Travel Registered Nurse CCU Job
Geneva, NY
Contracted
Geneva General Hospital (GGH)
Mid Level
Join a dynamic Critical Care Unit travel assignment as a Registered Nurse specializing in CCU, stationed in Geneva, NY, with the flexibility to engage in assignments across the United States. In this role you will guide critically ill patients through complex recovery paths, applying your expertise in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and rapid response to evolving conditions. Your hands‑on care will stabilize, comfort, and advocate for patients and their families during some of their most challenging moments, while you sharpen clinical judgment and leadership skills in a high‑acuity environment. Beyond the immediate bedside impact, this position offers you a chance to immerse yourself in the scenic and culturally rich landscape of upstate New York—the Finger Lakes region known for its rolling hills, wineries, and seasonal beauty—while contributing to a network of world‑class care teams. Geneva sits on Seneca Lake and is a hub for innovation, education, and community support, ideal for professionals who value balance between extraordinary clinical work and meaningful personal experiences.
Working in Geneva places you in a vibrant healthcare ecosystem with close connections to tertiary centers, fellowship opportunities, and cross‑coverage with other specialties. In addition, the program offers the option to rotate to other locations across the U.S. to broaden your professional perspective, collaborate with diverse patient populations, and build a versatile resume. You’ll enjoy the advantages of flexible schedules, ongoing credentialing support, and the chance to explore rural and urban settings—from lakeside towns to energetic metro areas—while maintaining the stability of a well‑established travel program. The location's lifestyle supports your well‑being, with access to outdoor recreation, dining, arts, and community events that make it easier to recharge after demanding shifts.
As a CCU RN, you’ll perform continuous hemodynamic assessment, manage invasive lines and arterial catheters, titrate vasoactive medications, and assist with advanced respiratory support, including ventilator settings, weaning, and airway management. You’ll participate in daily rounds, collaborate with cardiology, critical care, and bedside teams, and contribute to evidence‑based care plans that drive patient outcomes. Leadership opportunities exist as you mentor new staff and help standardize practice across units. This role also includes attractive benefits: a competitive weekly compensation of approximately 2,072 to 2,175 USD, with a sign‑on bonus, housing assistance, and opportunities to extend assignments based on unit needs and your professional goals. You’ll have comprehensive support from a dedicated travel team and clinical liaison, plus 24/7 assistance as you travel with the company. It’s important to note that there are no guaranteed hours; assignments are scheduled based on unit needs and travel availability. In addition, you will have access to continuing education and specialty training to advance your CCU expertise and prepare for future leadership roles.
At the core of our program is a commitment to empowering staff—providing mentorship, transparent career pathways, and a supportive environment where your clinical excellence and compassionate care are recognized. We value resilience, curiosity, and teamwork, and we invest in your professional growth with structured extension opportunities and cross‑functional learning that help you expand your scope and take on greater responsibilities across critical care settings.
