You’ll support admissions, discharges, and transitions, participate in rounds, and reinforce patient and family education on conditions, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and medication safety. Med-surg work offers a broad case mix—from post-op recovery to acute medical management—providing ongoing learning, critical thinking challenges, and opportunities to contribute to care plans. You’ll be part of a team that emphasizes evidence-based practice, pain management, infection control, fall prevention, and safety protocols to protect patients and staff. Professional growth is a core focus: mentorship, cross-training with related units, and pathways toward expanded responsibilities and leadership within med-surg teams. Benefits are designed to reward your expertise: competitive weekly pay ranges around $1,200–$1,270, the potential for a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and contract extensions.
