Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Utica, NY
Contracted
MVHS Wynn Hospital
Mid Level
Step into the high-stakes, life-saving world of Emergency Department nursing as a traveling Registered Nurse in Utica, New York. This is more than a job—it's an opportunity to influence outcomes in moments that matter most. In this ER assignment you’ll blend rapid assessment with expert procedure, stabilizing patients with a range of acute conditions, from trauma to sudden medical emergencies. You’ll lead with clinical judgment, coordinate care with physicians and specialists, administer medications, initiate IV therapy, monitor evolving conditions, and provide compassionate support to patients and families navigating uncertainty. Each shift will challenge you to think on your feet, refine your skills, and grow as a leader who can adapt across diverse cases and patient populations. At the same time, you’ll become part of a team that values courage, integrity, and the relentless pursuit of excellent care. And beyond the hospital, New York’s beauty awaits during your downtime—from the Mohawk Valley’s scenic byways to the Adirondack peaks and river towns—offering restorative spaces to recharge, explore, and find balance between demanding assignments and personal well-being.

Utica offers a welcoming community atmosphere with strong healthcare networks, modern facilities, and a reasonable commute. You’ll have the chance to work in a setting that emphasizes teamwork, evidence-based practice, and patient-centered outcomes, with access to ongoing education and mentorship. If you crave variety, this role also opens pathways to assignments in other locations across the United States, delivering exposure to different ER environments, patient demographics, and clinical challenges. Each new assignment builds a broader professional portfolio, strengthens adaptability, and expands your professional network. And because this opportunity can include multiple placements across the U.S., you’ll benefit from a structured support system designed to minimize disruption and maximize your clinical impact. New York itself offers cultural richness, seasonal beauty, and a gateway to outdoor adventures, while Utica delivers a tight-knit community feel and a gateway to equally rewarding experiences nearby.

Your key responsibilities include rapid triage, initial stabilization, airway management, IV access, medication administration, preparations for and participation in procedures, telemetry monitoring, documentation, and clear communication with the care team and families. You’ll assess, plan, implement, and reassess care in high-pressure moments, ensuring safety and compassion at every turn. Professional growth is a core focus, with access to specialty training in emergency nursing, evidence-based protocols, and opportunities to assume leadership roles on the unit as you demonstrate reliability and initiative. Competitive benefits accompany your clinical impact: a weekly pay range of $2,322-$2,535, a guaranteed 36 hours per week, and an initial weeks-long assignment starting 01/19/2026. A sign-on or completion bonus, housing assistance, and extension opportunities further enhance the package. You’ll have comprehensive support, including 24/7 assistance from our dedicated traveling team, relocation guidance, credentialing help, and a streamlined onboarding process designed to minimize downtime and maximize your time in care.
