Hermiston, OR
Contracted
Good Shepherd Med Ctr
Mid Level
Step into the operating room as a Travel OR Registered Nurse in Hermiston, Oregon, and lead life-changing outcomes for patients while embracing the vibrant pace of a renowned travel companion. In this role, you’ll combine technical precision with compassionate care, guiding patients through the perioperative journey from pre-op preparations to post-anesthesia recovery. Your expertise will support surgeons, anesthesia teams, and sterile processing specialists as you navigate diverse cases—from routine to complex—within state-of-the-art OR suites. This is more than a job; it’s an opportunity to refine your craft, expand your clinical repertoire, and make a measurable difference in people’s lives while exploring the beauty and culture of Oregon. And beyond your assignment, Oregon’s landscapes—from the river trails and rolling plains to forested views and mountain silhouettes—offer moments of refreshment and inspiration in every season.

Hermiston is your gateway to a balanced travel experience with the comforts of a supportive team behind you. This location provides a strategic base in the Pacific Northwest, combining a thriving community atmosphere with convenient access to outdoor recreation, local eateries, and a family-friendly environment. You’ll have the option to work across multiple locations within the U.S., enriching your professional journey with varied facilities, patient populations, and operational practices. Whether you’re winding down a shift by the river, enjoying a weekend excursion to nearby Deschutes National Forest, or exploring local markets, you’ll find ample opportunities to recharge between assignments while building a nationwide network of colleagues who value your expertise.

In this OR nursing role, you’ll own key responsibilities that showcase your clinical leadership and teamwork. Prepare and position patients for surgery with meticulous attention to sterile technique and infection control. Assist surgeons and anesthesia teams with intraoperative care, monitor patient status, adjust equipment and supplies, and ensure meticulous documentation throughout the perioperative period. You’ll participate in case planning, anticipate potential complications, and implement evidence-based protocols to optimize patient safety and outcomes. Your role also includes post-operative handoffs, pain management collaboration, and contributing to unit readiness for future cases. This is a pathway to professional growth within the OR specialty, with opportunities to develop specialty skills, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and pursue additional certifications or advanced roles as you expand your scope of practice.

Our comprehensive benefits package is designed to reward your expertise and support your lifestyle. You’ll receive a competitive weekly pay range of $2,644 to $2,747, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week, reflecting the reliability and consistency you deserve as a travel professional. In addition, a sign-on bonus acknowledges your commitment, and housing assistance helps ease the transition to a new city. We also offer extension opportunities, enabling you to lengthen successful contracts and deepen your impact with familiar teams and environments. You’ll have access to robust health and retirement benefits, professional development stipends, and 24/7 support while traveling with the company—ensuring you’re never alone on the road, regardless of the time zone or circumstance.

The company you’ll join values and empower its staff by prioritizing career advancement and a supportive, inclusive work culture. You’ll find resources dedicated to your professional growth, mentorship from senior perioperative clinicians, and a collaborative environment where your ideas and patient-centered approach are valued. The commitment goes beyond the operating room: we help you chart a career path that aligns with your goals, equip you with scalable learning opportunities, and foster a community where your wellbeing and expertise are prioritized every day.
