In this essential role, your disciplined approach to equipment preparation, sterile technique, and intraoperative support will empower anesthesia teams to deliver safe, smooth, and compassionate care from pre-op through recovery. Your attention to detail—checking circuits, monitors, airway equipment, and ready access to back-up supplies—will help keep procedures efficient and patients comfortable. Picture the impact you can have daily, backed by a company that recognizes your expertise, rewards your commitment, and supports your professional ascent. And while you focus on critical tasks, you’ll also have the chance to savor the beauty of New York state. Location Benefits: Rochester combines a rich medical ecosystem with a welcoming, family-friendly community. You’ll be part of a cityknown for strong hospital networks, academic collaboration, and opportunities to learn from seasoned perioperative teams. The region’s cultural offerings, parks, and universities create a balanced lifestyle that supports wellbeing between shifts. Rochester’s proximity to the broader Northeast also opens doors to exploring other urban centers, nature trails, and regional specialties. For selected assignments, there is the added appeal of rotating to different facilities across the United States, expanding your clinical horizons, widening your professional network, and enriching your resume with diverse perioperative experiences. This role also places you within reach of excellent housing options and supportive services designed to ease transitions for travel clinicians.
Role Specifics and Benefits:
- Core responsibilities: Prepare anesthesia machines and supplies for daily use; verify equipment readiness, maintain sterile technique, assist with patient positioning, monitor basic perioperative needs in collaboration with the anesthesia team, and ensure rapid access to emergency carts and back-up devices. You’ll help verify anesthesia records, track inventory, and support turnaround times between cases to keep the operating suite running smoothly. Your presence helps anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists focus on patient comfort and safety, while you handle the technical details with reliability and calm under pressure.
- Growth and development: This assignment offers opportunities to deepen your expertise in anesthesia technology, gain exposure to a wide range of procedures, and collaborate with seasoned professionals across the specialty. The role supports ongoing learning, potential credentialing assistance, and the chance to broaden your skill set through hands-on practice and cross-training in equipment management, safety protocols, and perioperative workflows.
- Competitive benefits: In addition to competitive weekly pay in the range of $1,000 to $1,090, you’ll have access to a sign-on or completion bonus where applicable, housing assistance to reduce living expenses, and extension opportunities to renew or expand your contract if you choose to continue with our staffing network. You’ll also receive potential travel stipends and per diem options that help offset living costs during assignments.
- Comprehensive support: You won’t travel alone. A dedicated, 24/7 support team is available whenever you’re on assignment, offering real-time assistance, troubleshooting, and guidance across time zones. We prioritize seamless communication, rapid issue resolution, and a dependable point of contact to help you navigate any challenge on the road.
