Location benefits: Ogdensburg sits along the St. Lawrence River, offering scenic waterfront views, access to outdoor recreation, and a welcoming small-town atmosphere that makes every shift meaningful. Beyond Ogdensburg, New York state spills with beauty: the Adirondacks’ wild trails, the Thousand Islands’ sparkling waters, Finger Lakes wineries and breezy lake towns, and historic cities along the Hudson. Our program also offers opportunities to work in other locations across the U.S., delivering exposure to different patient populations, hospital cultures, and technologies. This combination of local charm and national breadth helps you build a robust ER portfolio while savoring the region’s seasonal charm, seasonal festivals, and vibrant outdoor living.
Role specifics and benefits: In the ER RN role you’ll perform rapid patient assessments, triage, continuous monitoring, IV starts, medication administration, EKG interpretation, and collaboration with physicians, respiratory therapists, and case management teams to coordinate care and discharge planning. You’ll lead patient safety initiatives, participate in code responses, and act as a resource for newer staff, sharing best practices and clinical judgment. You’ll have ample opportunities for professional growth within emergency medicine, including mentoring, cross-hospital collaboration, and access to specialized trainings that sharpen your emergency decision-making and leadership skills. In addition to a competitive weekly pay range of $2,075–$2,240, the package includes a sign-on bonus and housing assistance designed to ease relocation. You’ll also have extension opportunities—if a unit or hospital wants you to stay longer, we’ll help you secure longer terms that align with your career goals.
